Montague Renovation
Although less than twenty years old, this home in Montague, MA had leaky windows, poor insulation and evidence of rot. The original windows on the south facade were replaced with high-efficient triple-glazed windows. During demolition, old insulation and rotted framing were replaced. On ground level, rigid insulation was added to exterior of the framing to significantly improve the thermal performance of the wall. An exterior wood trellis was added to shade the windows from summer sun.
These improvements are the first phase of a long-term project to upgrade the performance and aesthetics of the home.
